What we do
We meet every first Sunday of the month at 3 p.m., observe together, and share our knowledge. From your first star chart to astrophotography.
From your first photo to image processing, learning together.
Regular observation evenings under dark skies.
Public consultation hours for beginners.
Children and young people can join from age 8. Our own observation evenings, guidance from experienced members, and a look through the large telescope spark curiosity for the cosmos.

Children from age 8, young people, students, adults, and families can join us. Most members live in Berlin or Brandenburg, and beginners are welcome.
If you are curious, visit a meeting or contact us before applying. After that, submit the member application online.
The online form takes only a few minutes.

In cooperation with the Wildpark Johannismühle in Baruth, we built our own observatory with additional telescopic pillars. Under one of the darkest skies in Brandenburg and Germany, we have the best conditions to do observations and astrophotography. As a member, you are allowed to use the club equipment (e.g. a 14” Dobson) for free.

Telescope advice for beginners — practical, honest, and easy to understand.
A variety of telescopes can be used and borrowed by our members. This way you get a good overview which telescope type fits you. In our public telescope consultation beginners can learn the basics about telescopes and what to look for as a beginner.

Get in touch with the cash desk in the Zeiss-Großplanetarium. The cash desk is situated on the ground floor in the middle of the room. The staff will show you the way.
